I got my first camera, a Polaroid, for Christmas the year I turned ten years old. I've been taking pictures ever since.

In my photography, I tend to focus on simplicity--bright, bold colors, negative space, lines and angles and interesting textures. I love the idea of creating a story, or a mood, or a change in perspective by taking pictures of ordinary things in new ways--by honing in on details with the camera that might otherwise be lost when viewed with the eyes alone. That's what my photography is to me--visual fiction, loosely based on reality.
